There is NO science involved, so don’t get confused or get discouraged! Let’s look at what you need to do to complete this project. The technique is similar to making a hole in a box of light bulbs. Know that kids need to be careful when they are using their bare hands, as they are prone to get hurt. Make sure metal implements and sharp tools are well-defined and out of reach. Make sure hand sanitizer and warm water are readily available.
The first step is to pop the bulb out of the socket. A child can hold the bulb out with one hand and slide the other hand carefully behind the core of the bulb. Using their fingertips, push the bulb out smoothly. Place the bulb back in the socket and check that all is right with the light.
